- February 19th: Chicago (Illinois) recital at the University of Chicago - program includes contemporary Slovenian composers (Pahor, Škerjanc, Matičič in Tadeja Vulc: Mysteria)

Marina was a guest of the festival and gave a recital, held a one-day master-class and was member of the international jury of the Competition for Pianists.
July 3rd
Summer in Dobrna (in cooperation with Imago Sloveniae)
Marina gave a piano recital at this famous Spa resort, as part of the Imago Sloveniae projects. She played: Beethoven Sonata Op. 31/3, Karol Pahor Three Concert Studies, Marko Tajčević Balkan Dances, Ferdo Livadić Notturno, Tchaikovsky Variations op. 19 and Chopin 2 Nocturnes and Barcarolle
July 26th - August 8th
Terra Magica Music Festival in Poreč, Croatia
Marina was participating as mentor at the festival’s Summer Academy. Her master workshop The Hidden Potential took place for one week with international student participation: Kosova, Belarus, Bosnia, Italy, and Slovenia.

The recital included works by Livadić, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky as well as Schubert Sonata op. 42.

»Hopes, talents, masters« in Dobrich-Albena, Bulgaria.
Marina was a member of the international jury at this Festival Competition. She also played at the Gala concert of the jury members, both solo and in duo with the »golden flute« of Bulgaria, Georgi Spasov.

»Marina & friends«
Together with performer-friends Marina celebrated her 65th birthday, wirth a benefit concert dedicated to Beli obroč Slovenije (White Ring of Slovenia, president Vlasta Nussdorfer, attorney of state) that takes care of children who were victims of domestic violence. More than 20 musicians with whom Marina is connected – one way or another – by artistic, pedagogical and life experiences: colleagues, former students, young artists whom she took under her wings… A kaleidoscope of classical and romantic music for piano, cello, violin, organ, harpsichord, singers, harp resounded in a festive mood and was successful till the very last note – in the presence of State President dr. Danilo Türk and First Lady Barbara Miklič-Türk and under the patronage of many political and other public personalities –

A Mendelssohn Evening (Marina’s idea) to celebrate the 200th birth anniversary of the composer. Performers were Katja Konvalinka (soprano), Barbara Sorč (mezzo-soprano), Urška Horvat (violoncello), Kaja Smogavec (clarinet) - all students from Marina’s chamber music class - and Marina herself at the piano. Program: Sonata for clarinet and piano, sonata for cello and piano, Duets for two voices with piano accompaniment.
